About
The wider objective of the SPHERE project is to improve the quality of higher education in the field of the ST in line with EU trends, contribution, promotion and popularization of ST, strengthen its relevance for the labour market and society. This wider objective is fully compliant with the priorities of the Capacity Building projects within the Erasmus+ program (Green deal). Also, the benefits for Uzbekistan and Kosovo* are looking for the implementing the most appropriate scientific methods and the best practice during the SPHERE project. Further, the project will also result in the development of trainings for professionals in the field of transport based on results of survey for stakeholders, organized local workshops with stakeholders in the field of transport and recommendations of EU partner Universities. Finally, the benefits for Uzbekistan and Kosovo* Universities form partner countries include implementation of the most appropriate scientific methods and the best practices for the implementation of sustainable transport.
Objectives
1) identification and recommendation for managing of ST (sustainable transport) key issues in Uzbekistan and Kosovo*.
2) to improve and develop the existing curricula for undergraduate and master studies in accordance with Bologna requirements and national accreditation standards by implementing new courses in the field of ST.
3) to develop and implement the training program for the transportation professionals in line with up-to-date scientific knowledge on issues related to the ST in Uzbekistan and Kosovo*.
Sustainability
Sustainability of the ST study programs will be based on two main sustainability principles:
- SPHERE project attractiveness through communication, study programme quality, curricula evaluation and update, students’ employability, employers’ awareness,
- SPHERE project operational capacity through the cohesion and involvement of the partner HEIs and a stable project environment i.e. PC partner HEIs will maintain the formed laboratories and the new teaching environment and provide dedicated staff and regular financial resources.
